Sunday: Hili dialogue

December 28, 2014 • 1:45 am

‘Tis is the fourth day of Koynezaa, my own personal holiday (which is mine) that extends from Christmas through my birthday five days later. I firmly believe that everyone should have an individual fête to celebrate the wonder that is them.

Of course, the Celebration of Hili is a year-long affair; in fact, it never ends. Today we have Hili with Cyrus and some special guests. These include Elzbieta, owner of the monologuing tabby Leon. In the middle is her daughter, Marta, with Hili on her lap, and to the right is Elzbieta’s partner, also named Andrzej. Cyrus is apparently trying to lift Hili with his snout, something that he’s done before.

I notice some tempting snacks on the table. . .

Hili: Cyrus, don’t try to lift me, I’m too heavy for you.
Cyrus: I will manage.

In Polish:
Hili: Cyrus, nie podnoś mnie, bo ci będzie za ciężko.
Cyrus: Dam radę.

  1. I too am nearing that national semi healthcare insurance age we come to in this country. Strange because I thought it only happened to old people.

  2. Cyrus is apparently trying to lift Hili with his snout

Either that, or he’s trying to hide under her. D*gs aren’t so smart when it comes to that sort of thing….

  3. Perhaps Cyrus is nudging Hili & the lifting is a side effect. When my dog wants something, she’ll nudge me – it can be disasterous if you happen to be drinking a cup of coffee on the side she nudges you on.
