After the theists read my next book, the name of this New York City playground will be appropriate! (Thanks to reader Matthew for the photos):
And here are Da Roolz!

They’ll probabl spell “tar” this way too when they send their vitriolic emails.
Just don’t get tarred and feathered.
I wonder if the “Coyne Tots” pun was deliberate!
Yeah, I’ve walked (and skated, and cycled, and scootered, and jogged) past this playground a million times, but never noticed the name until this past Friday. It’s about 5 blocks south of Strawberry Fields.
Forever?
For the Indeterminate Future. We all know it’s only a matter of time before Trump finds a way to buy it. Living is easy with eyes closed….
It says “Richard Dawson” in the link but I’m sure it means to say “Dawkins” in the review of your book in the link.
I am looking forward to reading your New book but I do most of my best reading in the car on CD every day back-and-forth to work.
is your book going to be available on CD OR MP3?
(unabridged of course).
I think the model within which ‘religion’ and ‘science’ are in irreconcilable conflict is a big part of the reason why there are so many who doubt evolution, and then extend that to other facets of science, particularly climate science. It seems to a lot of people that they are being asked to give up what is most important to them, the basis of their entire value system, in return for the assurance that the Universe is basically meaningless and human existence an accident of nature. Whilst I myself know it doesn’t mean that, you can see how a lot of people can see it that way. Meaning, the next installment is simply more fuel on the fire, more acrimony, vitriolic debates, and fence-building.
But realizing that “the Universe is basically meaningless and human existence an accident of nature” does not make pumpkin pie any less tasty, nor does it in any way reduce the value of a baby’s smile or a cat’s purr. I can still care about others, I can still see beauty, I can still experience joy, the profoundness of the universe is not reduced at all by realizing that it has no meanings beyond those we ascribe to it. People are so used to assume that makebelieve is real and important that they often do not pay enough attention to reality to realize that the wonder and joy they thought they were finding in makebelieve was in actuality the qualities of reality shining through the obscurantist noise that they had been futilely trying to comprehend.
Nicely said. Particularly that last sentence.
Reading the synopsis of your book on Amazon.com, I see they refer to another well known author Richard Dawson.
Yes, that will be fixed but Amazon is slow.
The former Yorkshire and England off-spinner?
Perhaps the recently deceased ‘kissing’ host of Family Feud and earlier as the actor playing Corporal Newkirk in Hogan’s Heroes?
May ’15- despite modern digitalised production methods book publishing is still slow. As if they’re waiting for the trees to grow up and be paperised.
I have the Kindle version pre-ordered. Looking forward to it.
The Coyne Tar Pit.
That’ where they found the saber toothed Kink!
Sorry, Jerry.
Rool #1 says you will not be allowed in unless accompanied by someone under 12.
Also FYI, da 10th Rool forbids feeding birds or squirrels.
I paralled Merilee’s idea that somewhere there must be a Feather + Coyne Park, which should instantly be twinned with this park.
Goole doesn’t reveal such a place, but shortly after publication, this place may get a burst of activity as it comes up in response to searching for “Coyne Shooting Range”.
Don’t think that was me, but good idea nonetheless.
I particularly like the order of the names.
