It is a wet, rainy, and generally miserable weekend in Chicago. Meanwhile, in Dobrzyn, Monika (a young woman who is studying to be a translator) has come to visit for the weekend and ply her formidable cooking skills. Hili is getting cuddles but objects to being photographed, a strange attitidue for a diva cat. And Cyrus is still LOOMING.
Hili: I’m off.
Monika: Why?
Hili: Pictures are being taken, again.

p.a. Monika’s website is called “food that comforts,” and is currently in Polish (it features vegetarian recipes). But I’m told she’ll soon be posting the recipes in English, and judging by the photos (and reports of the gastronomic delights she whips up in Dobrzyn), you may want to look in on the site when the English appears.
Google Translate does a good enough job with the Polish site to make the recipes, which look really tasty, usable for English readers.
There’s looming and then there’s LOOMING. Cyrus of course does the latter. 🙂

Thank you so much for your kind words, as well as for mentioning my blog! I must admit that I had big plans to translate it (and almost all the recipes up to May are in English as well), but then there were more urgent things in life that required translating… However, I will try to provide all the translations as soon as possible (so that you can cook from my recipes, of course!).
As far as Cyrus is concerned, in my opinion his favourite action is not looming, but rather lurking. You shouldn’t worry too much about Hili, because his lurking is not in any way menacing – he does it to get either food, or a pat on the head. And he admires her a lot and they will live happily ever after!
