This is the first post I’ve ever titled with a reader’s name, but it came to me instantly when I saw this picture.

If you don’t know what this means, you ain’t been around long enough. But I’m sure someone will explain in the comments.

Photo from Pet Stuff Web, in a series of ten cat confessions that are all worth seeing (especially the one involving “Grandmother’s ashes”).

        1. I knew about this proclivity, but didn’t know where it started. Thanks for the history-cracked me up. My grandparents used to hang it the “correct” way and I didn’t mind. Nowadays we don’t hang it at all…just sits on the counter. I think because I’m left handed and my wife is right handed so it’s just easier to go free-style.

  1. But was it Over or Under before the cat got to it?

A vitally important point, i think.

  2. I usually peruse cat-shaming.tumblr.com, but this looks like a great new resource. I had to give dogshaming.com a miss during lunch breaks due to the often disgusting (but hilarious) content.

    1. My favourite was the cat that bit its human’s rear when she was changing the cat litter. What’s funny, is I can imagine the cat doing it nonchalantly, just wanting to see what it would be like to bite the bum.

  3. Ah, when the human material world of meaningful things meets the natural world of I-don’t-care. This is really a fair illustration of why there is no god.

  4. The confession does not reflect the expression.
That look says, “Yes, I destroyed the toilet paper. I enjoyed it. It was what I wanted to do.”
That look is the cause of cat-hating. I know because that is the look which makes me wish my cats were smart enough to appreciate the punishment I desire to mete out to them. But they aren’t, so I don’t. I just clean up the mess and hate them for it.

  5. Good kitty! Probably the toilet paper was installed wrong and the kitty needed to fix it. 🙂

  6. Do we presume that cats could possibly have free will and choose not to have unrolled the toilet paper?

  7. I’ve heard that the word “underhanded” was created because a very high percentage of reprobates use that method when doing personal paperwork.

  8. I have a co-worker who simply cannot resist the urge to restore order to the universe by flattening any bubble wrap that is foolish enough to catch her eye.

  9. Whenever I travel, this is what I know I will find when I arrive home. And if I’ve been gone over a week, the paper towels receive the same ritualized attacks.

  10. Due to my working class upbringing I tend to buy toilet rolls with designs printed on them which only work if the roll is over as it is pointless to show the design to the wall. The toilet roll holders at work are stainless steel with a flap on the front to tear off the paper; these also do not work unless the roll is over. I am beginning to think that undies are only being perverse for the sake of argument.

    1. Or the people who design these things are trying to push out those who know how to install toilet paper correctly.

      1. I know! I did notice that someone stroked Willie’s neck near the end of his reverie and that seemed to have started him up again and into the re-roll segment. 🙂
