“Say You Love Me”

While I’m writing a post on the intelligence of Caledonian crows, wake yourself up with some java and a listen to Christine McVie performing “Say You Love Me”  (a song she wrote in the early ’70s) with Fleetwood Mac. (I heard this on my iPod on the walk to work.)

I particularly like Lindsey Buckingham’s short banjo solo at 1:42.

  1. One of the great rock and roll bands! I hadn’t heard this version before. Thanks!

    1. Yes, a really interesting version. McVie is sublime comme habitude. Tragic lyrics though, the girl needs to toughen up her boundaries and block his phone/email messages, etc. 🙂

  2. A banjo player carelessly left his prized banjo visible on the back seat of his car while he stopped in the pub for a few pints. When he went back to the car, he spotted the smashed-out windows, remembered his folly, rushed to the car and discovered that, indeed, the worst had happened: the car had become a banjo dumping ground, stuffed to the gills with banjos….

    1. I used to hate banjos…really hate them, but a few years back my mom got me one and now I love it. It is one of the most expressive instruments I have ever played.

Growing up, I also thought only girls liked Fleetwood Mac. Well, you can call me a girl then.
