Reader’s Christmas cat

December 25, 2013 • 8:01 am

Reader Vierotchka sent her own Christmas cat with a note:

Here is my cat Grisélidis who decided that she was a Christmas present…

She is a British Shorthair Silver Tabby and is small, although she is eight years old, she is no larger than a six-months old kitten. In the morning, when I wake up, there she is sitting on my bedside table watching me. She follows me around the house and likes to sit close to me – and she loves to lie or perch atop my computer. She absolutely loves tummy rubs, too.

  1. Maybe I clarify. In the US, Brits and Chartreux are distinctly different breeds. What a lovely Christmas present.

    1. Chartreux are often confused with grey British Shorthairs as they look very much alike, but the Chartreux is a fairly rare French breed.

Yes, she’s a lovely Christmas present!
