  6. A problem (for me) with these things is that there’s no indication of scale. Is that a twig or an elephant’s trunk?

    1. I’m good at this with pictures but in real life, I would’ve been Tiger food. I once was taking pictures of insects at the end of my yard & I kept hearing snuffling. I thought it was the cows next door & looked but didn’t see anything so figured I imagined it. When I was done crouching down in the grass taking pictures, I stood up & at that moment saw the white tails of the deer as they took off. They were all around me & neither me nor the deer noticed until I stood up.

    1. Opposite for me. Got the bird fast, cannot find the tiger after looking for several minutes intently with my best glasses on.

  13. This reminds me of the scene in ‘Defending Your Life’ where Albert Brooks and Meryl Streep are in heaven viewing who they were in past lives:

    Streep(watching a handsome man engaged in swordfighting): “Oh look, I was Prince Valient! Who were you?”

    Brooks(watching a caveman being chased by a lion): “Lunch.”

  14. I see a cat, but I’m not at all convinced it’s a tiger. Looks like a serval — it’s the right size (tigers are the biggest cats; servals are greyhound-sized), its head is the right shape (closer to a housecat with pointy ears; tigers have round, almost-maned heads and round ears), and the patterning really looks like spots rather than interrupted stripes. Plus, what I’m looking at is tawny, not orange.

    …or maybe this is just my pareidolia running away from me…?

    1. I definitely see stripes, and I wouldn’t count on being able to discern colors very accurately in that picture. The color contrast is pretty bad, washed out.

  17. I hope that the thing that looks like a weathered beer can doesn’t turn out to be part of a tiger.

    1. I see the tiger’s chin resting on said beer can, looking to the right away from the camera.

      1. I dunno, I see a nose and a pair of eyes, down a few can lengths and slightly to the left of the can. But where the rest of the tiger oughtta be based on that looks like a dead tree branch. I also think I see a pair of eyes at top middle, but if I enlarge it for a better look, I get text from WordPress in the area I want to look at.

  19. I eventually spotted it.

    I know, from personal experience, that spotting a tiger in long grass or undergrowth can be extremely difficult, and have one reaching for the TP once it does reveal itself, very fast and very angry.

    But then, that’s why they have evolved stripes. To remain hidden that is, not to dispense TP. 🙂

  21. I think it’s a moth that has evolved a tiger-faced mimicry to scare off — something. I can’t think of anything, offhand, that would prey on moths and be afraid of tigers, but evolution is smarter than I.
