Yeah, I’m impressed that the cat was not at all disturbed by the periodic close approach of the camera. Complete trust that this human was not going to take the goodies away.
Now if only it had a functioning copy of the Tas1r3 gene, I’m afraid to think what might have happened.
It’s undeniably cute but is it really eating ice cream? I don’t believe that I could lie in that position licking ice cream for over a minute without it ending up all over my face/neck etc. And why does it constantly ignore the big bit of ice cream that we can see? Oh, I’m such a cynic!
Yeah, kittens get milk all over their muzzle when they are just liking if from a bowl. It does seem rather unlikely that this cat’s face would stay completely clean while licking a real ice cream cone lying on its back.
Seems rather plausible that the cat is licking cat nip, or something other than ice cream…

I’ve heard that too. But I’m sure they like the taste of milk fat.

When I was growing up, we had a cat who liked cake. She would wait until my Mum had left the layers of sponge cake she had just made to cool, and then sneak up and nibble off the tops.
My Mom’s cat once ate his way through a dish towel to get to the pumpkin pie it was covering.

I could certainly do without the insipid pop “music” soundtrack, but except for that, “AAAAWWWWWWWWWW CUUUTE!”

And, snow? Really? It got over 90°F here today, and the A/C actually kicked on until I closed the windows.
In amongst the other mints in the herb garden will be some catnip — which, for those who don’t know, is in the mint family. And, again, for those who don’t know, it’s actually a rather tasty mint, with a flavor more like yerba buena than peppermint or spearmint. With the first crop I’ll make some unsweetened (or only very slightly sweetened) ice cream with it, for both me and Baihu to enjoy…though I’ll probably shave some Sharffen Berger chocolate over mine (not his).

Do you have to use lactose-free cream to make ice cream for a cat?
I haven’t tried making ice cream for him yet, so I don’t know. But I’m pretty sure the odds will be quite good that simply using the good stuff:

The rig has been ice cream-less for 12 weeks now, and certain people are getting restive. I shall not show this video, on the grounds of being attached to my head, and quite liking the idea of remaining attached.
