I look forward to morel hunting every April down here in the southeast. However, my preferred dish is morel risotto.
“Oh tempura! Oh morays!” is Latin for “I like batter-fried eels”

I spent a lot of time scouring the woods with my mom and brother, hunting morels as a kid. They are absolutely awesome sliced, battered, and fried. I haven’t had them in years, far too long…mmmm
Eaten many a morel from my own woods. Those two I would throw away so their spores could make mushrooms next year. They are too far gone to eat.
