Reader Patrik sent me a paper he wrote on the evolution of language and then, as an addendum, enclosed a felid picture with this note:
I also provide a cat photo from Manila, Philippines, where I am a resident at present (I’m Swedish). The photo is taken outside the local cat lady’s house. Please feel free to use it on your blog if you like.
I like (except for the “blog” part!):

I wonder if there are additional security agents hidden in the bushes near the check point. The visible agent looks very attentive.
What did I do wrong in calling the site a blog? (It says “blog” in the left-hand column!)
Btw, I provide the link to the paper in case anyone is interested. It is a pet hypothesis of mine that I finally got published, but I don’t know if it holds water. Please feel free to tear it apart in good scientific manner.

I had to look over the left-hand column to see that; I assume it is provided by the WordPress platform, not WEIT, who is quite adament that this is not a blog, but a website.
Ok, I am sorry to have missed that. Why is this important?
It’s one of my endearing peccadillos!

No Blogs Allowed!
It is a running joke around here that Jerry has a “website” NOT a “blog”. We all know it’s a blog but we humour him because we love him. 😉
Got it, thanks! 🙂
Ceci n’est pas un bleargh.

Reblogged this on Rattlers Pit and commented:
