The “Bat Party Games” is by Mark Parisi, and it’s from his syndicated panel comic Off The Mark. I’ve never met Mr. Parisi, but have corresponded by email, and have had the honor of having several suggestions turned into published comics. I highly recommend his warped humor.

Even more than missing Gary Larson is that he doesn’t have a site where you can browse them. I had to buy the complete works, but at least got a good discount from a Goodwill store via Alibris (the former of which, AFAIK doesn’t carry the trappings of the Salvation Army).
Agreed – I bought his calendar every year, and would love to collect some of the classics.
