Some more fantastic photos from the International Space Station. These shots show the unmanned European Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) spacecraft, “Edoardo Amaldi”, closing in on the ISS. Photos by astronaut Don Pettit.

is that the “Blue Danube Waltz” I hear in the background?
More like “Bolero.” Hey, ATV and ISS, get a room!
Since that isn’t the beam of a searchlight mounted on the ISS, it must mean that a thruster is being fired.
Strange that they would move a mountain to accommodate a mouse.
Was anyone else’s first thought: “Gee, that looks an awful lot like the Space Core from Portal 2.”
Real life looks more and more like science fiction. Those are wonderful photos 🙂
To me it looks like science fiction from the 80’s 🙂
