Well, maybe 0.5 where it was last seen but the wave amplitude is spread over a large area and when added up it amounts to a full 1.0
What have you done to the cat, Erwin? He looks half dead.”
– Mrs. Schrödinger.
Some would say he looks half alive…
This is rather popu;lar at various locations on the web:
The only legitimate use for the html “blink” tag:
Schrödinger’s cat is not dead.
That didn’t come out right. It should have read “Schrödinger’s cat is [blink]not[/blink] dead.”
Blink and you’ll miss it.
As (the late) Asher Peres would have put it, “Schrödinger’s Immortal Cat”…:)

Rebecca Watson came out with a great joke today on the Skeptic’s Guide to the Galaxy.
If you know who Werner Heisenberg is, then you don’t know where he is.
“Do you have any idea how fast you were going?” asked the motorcycle cop. “No,” replied Heisenberg, “but I know exactly where I am.”
We had the requisite “Heisenberg May Have Slept Here” t-shirts in the Physics Dept at NIU.
“I’m a chemist!” he retorted.
He reacted violently to the idea of adding sodium to water.
“The neutron flux has increased” she said critically.
