    I sat down to a full pound of rare sirloin the other night, an unusual treat because it’s so expensive. Forgot how good it was!

  2. It would be great if you’d report on the state of tortillas while you’re there, Jerry. I saw the plantain one, but I’m curious if they corn or flour as a staple flatbread.

    1. I’m reading the Voyage of the HMS Beagle right now, and I thought of the EXACT same description as I saw this picture. Darwins description of that meal is mout-watering (and the rest of the circumstances around the meal … not so enviable)
