Today’s Jesus and Mo strip, called “stop,” is a Friday flashback that’s 14 years old. I believe that in Faith Versus Fact I discuss the willingness of people who say both that they know about the nature of God but also that we can’t know anything about God. How do we know is he kindly rather than vicious? But of course the atheistic barmaid is right: we have no evidence for a god, so why even bother to discuss it?

Best one yet.
What Augustine meant: if it makes sense, it’s not theology.
It’s simple, really: Whatever I believe about the gods is right, whatever other people believe about them is suspect.
… or rather: Whatever I/we believe about the gods is right, …”
“Let’s think the unthinkable, let’s do the undoable. Let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.”
