Today’s Jesus and Mo strip, called “crimes,” came with a link: “Disestablish the Church of England“. And this time it’s Jesus rather than Mo who shows the characteristic hypocrisy or doublethink of the Divine Duo. Also, note the decline in respect for religion!
When I was a kid, teachers would sometimes use “antidisestablishmentarianism” as a long word, but they never explained what it meant (when asked, one teacher said that it was gibberish). I was an adult when I found out (in a book by Isaac Asimov) that it referred to opposition to disestablishing the Church of England.
