Normal service will be resumed tomorrow, when PCC(E) is back in action and recovered from his trip.
Meanwhile, in Dobrzyn, Hili suspects she is being short changed over her meal:
A: What are you deliberating about?
Hili: I have the impression that there is ham in the fridge.
Ja: Nad czym się zastanawiasz?
Hili: Mam wrażenie, że w lodówce jest szynka.

Exactly!
🤣
That look! The kibble isn’t cutting it.
For us it’s still leftover “turkey in the fridge”…
I almost always go on whatever holiday it is to my neighbors’ for dinner. As a vegetarian, I do not partake of the meat offerings, but my neighbor always gives me a small container of that meat for my cats. For years she has used the same container with a snap-on lid–and she also gives me some taboulli in a container just like the other one. Oscar, a tuxedo cat, long ago learned the sound of that top coming off, so the second he hears it, he appears in the kitchen. When I open the one with taboulli and let him smell it, he shows his disbelief. He is absolutely positive there is still some turkey (or whatever) around, but his staff is not acting appropriately.
We had a kitty who would race into the kitchen, skittering across the floor, if a can of tuna was opened. I called it his vitamin “T”. However, a tin of artichoke hearts sounds remarkablly like a can of tuna when it is opened. The look of disbelief, betrayal and forlorn hope is what I miss the most.
From The (London) Times the other day: a cat on a diet nicking a young child’s food.
