Given that the Donkey is the symbol of the Democratic party, I thought it would be apposite to end the weekend with this lovely video of a man reuniting with his beloved donkey.
The translations:
Title: “The emotional reunion between a donkey and its owner after confinement”
Why was the donkey confined? I have no idea. But the braying quadruped and its weepy owner have a fantastic reunion.
YouTube notes: “More than two months without seeing the animal in the Malaga town of El Borge and the scene has gone viral on the networks”
Who says animals don’t have emotions of joy? I love donkeys, and used to encounter packs of wild ones when I worked in Death Valley: the feral descendants of prospectors’ animals from the last century or so.
That’s sweet.
Perhaps the owner was confined?
¡Qué amable!
Stick or carrot?
Maybe it was the owner who was confined, during a coronavirus lockdown? Love it.
I thought you were going to say it was the symbol of Cheeses of Nazareth?!!!
A man should stick with the ass he has.
An aspiring assassin in an Abyssinian ass was bitten on the ass by an asp.

I hung around Torremolinos and Malaga in summers of 1964 and 1965, then took the bus to Granada. Might have passed near El Borge. I remember how pleasant the drive was through the original Sierra Nevada.
I don’t specifically recall seeing donkeys, but they were common then in rural Andalusia.
Two clarifications (from listening to the Spanish words by the man on the video):
It seens that it was him (the man) who was confined (which makes sense). At one point he says “where have you beenn… rahter where have I been?”.
The donkey is a female. The man says “burrilla” (an affectionate diminutive of “burra”, or female donkey) and “metía” (= “metida”), so it’s a she.
