Readers’ wildlife photos

Today we have some nice photos by Liz Strahle, whose IDs and notes are indented. Liz says this:

Attached are some wildlife pictures I took in the last couple of months. These were in New Jersey.  I am pretty confident about the peregrine falcon (immature) and not as sure about the lesser scaup.

  1. What wonderful bird photos. I particularly like the picture of the house sparrow; the colors and the patterns are beautiful!

      1. At least Blue-Footed Boobies have blue feet. And I have a friend with a (male) red-bellied parrot that has at least an orange belly.

    1. I’m not sure. Maybe playing or fighting? It looked like a scuffle for a bit but then they were soaring next to each other. What are they doing?

    1. Thank you! Maybe we can meet up and look at birds. I usually go down to Seabright/Sandy Hook area in April. There are apparently bird sights and groups but I have not explored that yet. If we don’t see anything else, there are gulls at least : )
