Frank is getting his operation today

August 2, 2019 • 7:00 am

Thanks to the generous readers here, we raised £2000 pounds for Feline Friends London, half of which is going for an operation to save the life of Frank, a young kitten who needs a liver shunt. He’s going under the knife even as I write, and we all wish him luck (the chances of success are at least 90%).

Here are a few photos of Frank with the woman who has volunteered to take him in and care for him while he recovers. She clearly loves him:

And here’s a photo I just got with Frank in the car on his way to surgery. He’s reported to be in good spirits. I will of course provide updates.

  1. Yay, Frank! HEAL! (We KNOW, being a cat, you won’t HEEL, so HEAL instead.) Fingers crossed all goes well!

  2. This is wonderful news. Waiting for a speedy recovery.
Off topic: The Amazing Acro-cats will be in Chicago from August 7 thru 12 at the Vittum Theater. This will be enjoyable for cat lovers and especially those with children.

  3. Keep it up with these posts. Frank is looking very dapper in that second photo. “Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t see you there. Yesh, a martini, darling. Shaken, not shtirred.” Thanks so much to the woman who is currently caring for him. This has been quite the team effort.

I eagerly await news of Frank’s successful surgery.

  4. Good luck Frank ,i would suggest she puts a plastic sheet under the car carrier in case of accidents ,i found that out to the cost of my car’s back seat .

  5. So sorry for your loss, Frank was gorgeous, he’s at Rainbow Bridge, not suffering anymore. Thank you for taking care of him and do and doing your best for him. He knows you loved him. ❤❤❤❤
