  1. Excellent photos. I love the one of the grebe catching a fish, and am in awe of how much patience it would take to get that shot.

  2. The loon and the two grebes have startling red eyes. parallel evolution? Or are loons closely related to grebes?

  3. I always enjoy the readers wildlife photos but Mr. Franks images are of such startlingly high quality that I find myself leaning into my monitor to take in the details of each one. Thank you!

  4. Wonderful photos, but how do you make them available to PCC(E)? I set out to send ten photos a couple of weeks ago, but my email provider limits attachments to 25 GB, which meant that I would have had to split the submission into five emails: not friendly. My email provider suggests its cloud facility, but its help page about this has been inaccessible for weeks. On top of that, it seems to support only MS and Apple; I use a Linux distribution. Help??

  5. That photo labeled “Anna’s Hummingbird (Calypte anna)” should have been labeled “Anna’s Hummingbird (Calypte anna) and Helleborus”!! Blatant plant blindness!
