I’m tired and have just finished a paid piece of writing, which still needs work. This is the break both of us need: a video compilation of teenage pandas at the Toronto Zoo, apparently unable to balance themselves. Good thing they’re round and fat, immune to damage.

So, it isn’t enough you have to waste your own time, you have to waste ours, too? Sheesh!

You didn’t have to watch it1
Thank you.
Pandas – they do all their own stunts.
Almost cat-light in their grace…. This made me think of Po from Kung Fu Panda.
Thank you for the much-needed diversion.
So these guys are not going to be mountain climbers.
They climb trees very well!
I thought no video clip of Pandas could top the one of the sneezing panda .
Thanks for posting .
Very cool! Most enjoyable! 😀
Thank you. Needed this.
No wonder they’re extinct, lol.
They’re not extinct but are actually coming back in the wild (or so I’ve heard).
It’s so-so. Numbers are increasing in total – wild plus zoos – but the habitat destruction and fragmentation continue, which is not a good sign for the future.
Rehabilitation from zoo breeding to wild living has problems too. Which is no surprise.
It’s like they’re built for falling, physiologically adapted to it, and they’re doing play-falling to learn how to fall.
I saw this just the day before yesterday and it was a true panacea. Now had another dose today, at just the right time, so thanks. A bit of the Three Stooges in them.
It’s the music and editing that really makes this video. Perfect presentation.
They’re great balls of wonderfulness. Had me chuckling. Thanks for sharing.
They are all so adorably clumsy!
Wow, I needed a laugh! Roly poly, floppy, clumsy pandas are perfect 🙂
Okay, I laughed. But when one of them fell on their head, it made me cringe.
Please don’t think me awful, but it struck me: is it just ONE of them falling, due to some disability? I mean, I can’t tell them apart…
Am happy to report the Toronto Zoo site has a press release that confirms it is typical behavior. It was all part of celebrating the cubs’ 2nd birthday, how fun!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hp72_XumM4 Contains graphic images of panada giving birth. No where near as traumatic as watching one born every minute.
I’m assuming this was the video tweeted by Chris Hadfield – who’s certainly Canuk, but I’m not sure if Torontonian (?) – a couple of days ago. There were suggestions that Canada was training an elite corps of free-fall pandas. For … something.
