    1. Is it Pepe, or Donald?

(I may have misunderstood some of the dog-whistles emanating from the White House.)

I remember a “Sword & SciFi” type book where I ploughed through several hundred pages of set up to meet it’s raison d’être – an impressively awful pun to “Cry ‘Havoc!’ and let slip the Frogs of War!” Sadly, I’ve forgotten both author and title, so I might meet it again down some dark bookshelf-lined alley.

      1. It wouldn’t have been the rather execrable Frogs of War by Andrew Harman, would it? A book that tried desperately to emulate Terry Pratchett and failed so badly that I chucked in the bin by about page 12. But I did like that the ultimate weapon was Rana Militaris.

      1. Yes!

Dang, as soon as it’s pointed out it’s clear as can be. Obviously my gaze must skip over the crucial edge info.

Thanks, rickflick. One of my reasons for submitting this was to see if any more anurans could be found; that’s why I asked Jerry to be coy about the number. 🙂

  1. Isn’t there one on the bottom edge, just a little in from the left edge? Or is that just a bunch of sticks mimicking a frog?

    1. I see what you mean…but I think it’s just frog-like pareidolia. At least (IMO) not conclusive enough to remove all doubt… 🙂
