Collecting a cold moggie, and a squirrel with a green mustache

This short video of how a Russian tabby comes home from the snow was tweeted by Dick King-Smith and sent to me by Matthew. How clever!

That cat could make a good jailbreak, too!

Here’s a squirrel named Seymour who’s enjoying a treat of avocado. In the process, he gives himself a green mustache!

  1. Great videos! The towel trick is very slick and the nomming squirrel is adorable.

  2. Fun to watch the squirrel enjoy the avocado treat. One of my two cats, Kofi, will arm wrestle with you to to get your avocado. Have wondered if it was because the texture was similar to butter or margarine. Of course, who can read a cat’s mind or follow their logic. Anyone else ever encountered this?

Cat climbing the towels is great trick. Wonder how long it took the cat to train that human to do his part?

  3. My first cat would sometimes stay out all day and night (very occasionally even two nights in a row), and if everyone was asleep when he wanted to come in he would climb the tree right next to the roof protruding from the first level of our house to cover the porch. He would jump from the tree to the lower roof, walk up to my parents second-story bedroom window, give a few meows or taps on the glass, and one of them would get out of bed and open the window to let him in.
