Red panda sees insect on rock

I’m off to lecture at Massey University. I’ll be home in five days, and simply have no time to write meaty posts. In  the meantime, enjoy this red panda (Ailurus fulgens) reacting to seeing an insect on a rock, contributed by Grania:

  1. Red pandas are so adorable, though I think this one might be a sandwich short of a picnic (or whatever is appropriate for red pandas!).

  2. 2 million years from now upright-walking red pandas will be wondering what drove the evolutionary predisposition for their bipedalism! You saw it first here folks!
