The Life Scientific is a fantastic podcast, the Neil DeGrasse Tyson one the other week was really good.
I agree, there have been many interesting guests many probably not widely known outside in their own fields (or at least not people that I had heard of), plus the Paul Nurse’s Larry Krauss’s and NDTs, but nearly all with interesting histories and perspectives.

Jim Al-Khalili has presented some excellent documentaries on the BBC: I hope they are shown elsewhere.

In an interview Sean Carroll mentioned a song from 1971 “The Only Way” that made him question belief – part of the lyrics are “Can you believe God makes you breathe? Why did he lose Six million Jews?”.
It was my favorite band as a teen – wonder if any old people here remember this?

Carroll has a talent for clarity, fluidity and humility in communicating these challenging concepts to the layperson. I would love to be the proverbial fly-on-the-wall in one of his classes.
I always enjoy listening to Sean Carroll.
Shawn is an interesting fellow but I wish I could meet him sometime and actually talk about the origin of the universe. I would like to know if he is familiar with the Zero Energy Universe (Free Lunch theory) and what he thinks of it. Unfortunately for me, I don’t have a smart phone or iPhone so I can’t go that route. Well, we don’t always get what we want.
