I can see all sorts of deep meaning and wisdom in that comic. There’s a lot more there than just a “marketing ploy to try to get you to become a Patreon of this comic.”
The Artist (for that is his name) is very definitely Fighting the Good Fight. Verily, does he Trample At The Vinyard Where The Grapes of Wrath Are waiting to be delivered to infidel artists. And he damned well knows it – hence “The Artist” ; hence the repeated insistence that the cartoon is actually of a person who a body-double for Mohammed (BSBUH), and not the other focus of Islam.
I’d have to check the dates, but I think J’n’M started during the “Danish Cartoons” furor, and long before the Charlie Hebdo massacre.
He (or she) gets my coin, and I think it is coin well invested.
