The new Trump-Pence logo

You probably know that The Donald has chosen Indiana governor Mike Pence as his running mate. I suppose that was fairly savvy given the need for Trump to win the big Midwestern states like Ohio and Michigan. What wasn’t savvy, though, was the new campaign logo, as reporterd by Politico:

It’s salacious, no? Former Michigan Congressman John Dingell issued this tw**t:

I’d add one thing, which I haven’t seen anybody else say: shouldn’t the slogan be “Make American Hate Again”?

    2. I see rolls of toilet paper becoming de rigueur accessories for protestors at Trump-Pence rallies — similar to the way flip-flops were used against John Kerry.

      Time to head to Sam’s Club to pick up a couple pallets’ full.

    2. And since Pence had to drop out of his reelection campaign for a 2nd term as governor, he’s going to be jobless to boot. Good riddance.

    Meanwhile, the Hillary camp continues to use the idiotic “Love Trumps Hate” slogan. PR 101: don’t use your opponent’s name in your catchphrase.

  14. The hate has always been here. A Trump win, like a Brexit win, would just make Americans previously shamed from hating proud to hate once again.

  15. The logo assumes it was great once so when was this greatness? Someone needs to ask for clarification I bet Trump will say WWII. If so then he was a Democrat, large D. These were Roosevelt years. The republicans hated FDR and held parties when he died. But how would Trump know any of that, that pathetic history nonsense.

    In this Rethug pick we have a combination of a jihugic asshole and a man who obviously has no problems tasked with cleaning it daily.

    Somebody’s got to do the work. May as well be Pence; he’s had lots of experience performing those kinds of chores. Herr Drumpfehurer’s will be a career buster for Pence the Pinhead.

  18. No offense intended to John Dingell, but considering the relative position of the letters, it looks more like the “P” is performing an act upon the “T”.

  19. That logo is garbage. I can’t wait to see how the Hillary “H” will be violating her running mates name. That big arrow looks like it would do some damage. At least the demise of our society has been entertaining so far.

  20. Trump’s made it clear for all the world to see who’s the top and who’s the bottom in the T-and-P conjoining.

  21. Thinking ahead, let’s say Trump wins. He’s so outrageous and dangerous for The United States that even the Republicans want to take him out — not just take him down! His replacement outspokenly puts The Bible ahead of The Constitution, though. He would so load the Supreme Court with more Scalia types that the Constitution would be destroyed. He would deny women’s rights at every opportunity, sending us back to “barefoot and pregnant”, then chaining us to the bedside of all the microcephalic babies we’d be blocked from aborting. There would be no taxes to support those babies, much less government effort to prevent Zika spread, creating those babies. Only the wealthy would be able to pay for special vaccines created by the “free market”, which market would also sell flight tickets to rich women and teens to get their abortions in secrecy, elsewhere.

    The Democrats would recognize this scenario on the horizon and worry that Pence might even decide God put him in the White House to push the magic button and start Armageddon to bring the Second Coming of Christ.

    That would leave the Dems in the horrid position of protecting and defending Trump, because an aimless, self-aggrandizing nut case might just be better than a God-driven one.

    In the end, Trump (or his family members/advisors) might even be “dumb like a fox”, setting this situation up exactly in order to protect him, once elected.

  25. I thought this would happen with the change in ownership.
    It is a shame when a magazine with such an educational history deteriorates to promotion of non-scientific myths. I find this disheartening. The new owners are trying to use the well earned reputation of scientific integrity in the articles printed in NG to give integrity to their unsubstantiated myths.

  27. The Republicans gave us the Great Depression, then the Great Recession, and now Donald wants to Make America Great Again! Although he seems to alienate so many people, I think that he just misspelled it, and should be “Make America Grate Again.”

    1. Combine that with the meaning of “trump” in the UK, and that campaign’s giving out all the right signals. And they’re not even subliminal.
