8. The language and the money are both Russian. The banknote is 1000 rubles (not sure if it’s a current one), which is roughly $15.

   1. Rubles : I thought it looked familiar, and it’s 10 years since I was last in Russia, so it could be quite old. I don’t think they’ve re-issued bank note designs since I was there last.
      However, of probably greater consequence, there appears to be a coup d’etat going on in Turkey at the moment. That will firmly plant the felines amongst the flock of Columbidae.

12. I read that a lot of money is used for drug deals and when tested, most money has traces of drug residue. Maybe kitty is reacting to that?
