For context, that is probably a bunker that was a secret during World War 2. Which would get it into the “historical monuments ” classification that the paladian ‘M’ suggests. If I’m remembering my road signs correctly.
There’s similar large bunker just beside the Forth Rail Bridge (south approaches) which is equally an open sect. But that is still active, so not a historical monument. Cue a megatonne for Edinburgh.
Thanks for posting this. I will use it as the cover of the Spider Club News here in South Africa. Yes, we like spiders so much that we have a club for them!
Hey, I like Spider Man.
Photoshopped, in case it isn’t obvious. The actual signs read “Bus Museum” and “Classic Boat Museum”. See http://www.mirror.co.uk/usvsth3m/calm-down-havent-really-built-5401102
Of course the signs read that. The real thing is all hush-hush.
Would seem someone does not have enough to do?
Is that a confession?
Obvious fake. Everyone knows it should read “Spider Ranch.”
🙂
Eeek
We have this in the UK.

Superfluous.
Superfluously redundant.
Can’t access without Google account.
Well then it isn’t superfluous to you I guess. 🙂

Seriously, who would start a spider farm, the Addams Family?
People researching the medicinal uses of spider venom?
Some materials engineers were looking at using spider silk for various purposes (light and strong and all that). I don’t know what the state is here.
I still think this is a great idea.
There is, of course, this:

P.S. This comment was superfluous
Reblogged this on The Logical Place and commented:
Beware of the mutant spiders!
How I wish this was real, I would be off to visit in a flash. (Wrong superhero reference, but it’s the best I could pre coffee)
That trip would be super man.
Of course, the obligatory youtube link:
