Someone has been smoking the catnip. Without drying it properly.

That was weird and I watched it without the sound….but I’ve seen weirder.
The sight of that Roomba going round aimlessly in circles without its driver was tragic.

I love it!
The modern smoker’s response is likely to be “but I already smoke outside – how can it hurt the cat?”
Social pressure and anti-smoking laws in public places like workplaces and restaurants are having an effect. 10 years ago I wouldn’t have blinked an eye at smoking in my apartment, and would have multiple people smoking at once in a 15×15 room. Now, though I remain a smoker, I never allow even just myself to do so – all cigs must be had outside. Anecdotal, of course, but the majority of younger (<35) smokers I know also do not smoke inside their homes – the notion that cigs must be had outside is getting more and more solidly established.
That said, I do still feel bad for the cats of those who do NOT go outside for their smokes. Killing yourself slowly is a matter of personal freedom. Killing your pet slowly is, well, let's be nice and call it negligent felicide, canicide, or whatever the case may be.
Brilliant.
I used to smoke a pipe, and still smoke the occasional cigar (“still” in that I haven’t decided to quit… but I haven’t had a cigar in a couple years). I’ve never smoked in my home because of my kitties, my books and my Lego collection (smoke discolors the pages and the Lego bricks).
As I said, I haven’t smoked anything in years… but that ad made me crave a puff on my pipe… mmmmm Cavendish…
