Friday: Hili dialogue

October 23, 2015 • 4:18 am

It is Friday, my arm is sore from my flu shot, and I have finally caught up with the outstanding tasks (including a two-foot pile of mail) that accumulated in my absence. Now I can relax a bit and concentrate on four writing tasks that I have before me.  Don’t forget to get your flu shot NOW!  Meanwhile in Dobrzyn, Hili is relaxing on the clean towels in the bathroom (because her litter box is in there, there’s a small, cat-sized hole cut in the bottom of the bathroom door).:

A: So this is where you’re hiding.
Hili: Sometimes a cat needs a bit of solitude.

In Polish:
Ja: Tu się ukryłaś.
Hili: Czasem kot potrzebuje odrobinę samotności.

  1. Hili would not make a good astronaut on the International Space Station. There is little solitude, and with no litter boxes, I’m afraid she’d have to get used to wearing a diaper.

  2. Solitude is the cat’s middle name. Looking at a disappointing time this weekend for Formula One racing. It’s the U.S. Grand Prix down in Austin, Tx., however the rain is coming down in buckets.

  3. Hili is dreaming of snuggling up on the couch with Jerry, or maybe Cyrus, or at least something large, warm, and furry.

  4. Linen closets make for fantastic cat hideaways! Indeed, that may even be their original intended purpose, and it was only afterwards discovered that it’s not a bad way to store fabrics….
