Just saw that one on the news. Good job from actual space.
Nice!
That’s great – Star Trek, Mr. Spock, and Leonard Nimoy continue to inspire!
As they flew over Massachusetts, where Nimoy grew up.

I agree the photo is kind of neat, but I’m not sure what to make of all the Spock references to the death of Leonard Nimoy, who, while famous for the role, wrote an entire book called “I am not Spock” in 1975, to be followed 20 years later by another book “I am Spock.”
Since the parody movie Galaxy Quest took some effort to loosely model the characters of Star Trek as well, I always assumed Alan Rickman’s role in Galaxy Quest was based on a publicly displayed reticence of Nimoy of being typecast:
“Alan Rickman as Alexander Dane, the actor who played Dr. Lazarus of Tev’Meck. Lazarus is a “Mak’tar”, a member of an alien species renowned for their intellect, who also possess psionic abilities. Additionally, he has a non-standard weapon and a pretentious catchphrase: “By Grabthar’s hammer, by the suns of Warvan, you shall be avenged!”.
A trained Shakespearean British actor, Alexander resents both his catchphrase and being typecast to the point of being forced to wear his character’s prosthetic headgear at public appearances. He is the last of the actors to embrace his television role (in order to satisfy the Thermians) and only does so when Quellek (a Thermian who idolizes Dr. Lazarus) dies in his arms.”

Touching.
Star Trek is my secular religion with Spock as a beloved member of the Holy Triumvirate. He had a very cool life and the character of Spock will live on for a very long time.
