Removing a panda from a tree

All I know about this is that I’d like to be the guy; and we have some brief YouTube notes below:

A breeder in China’s Sichuan Province wants to take this panda down from a tree, but the lovely panda wants a reward. So it asks the breeder for a hug before moving!

  1. It looked like the panda was sulking. Do non-human animals sulk? Panda could have been afraid of heights and needed help. I’m still very jealous of the guy in the fancy blue shirt.

  2. Has Hili been giving that Panda some lessons? From your Polish posts I seem to recall that she always demands to be carried in!

  3. This panda reminded me my niece when she’s just two or 3 years old… We went to an apple farm, she wanted me to carry her all the way and she also wanted to appreciate the apples and trees… I was a bit tired but that baby softness and warmth actually made me very happy. 🙂

  4. I’d say the Panda was napping and didn’t want to be bothered. It looked like it went back to sleep like a 1 yr old child as it was being carried back to the house.

  5. For a while, if you visited the Panda center in Chengdu, China, you could, for a price, hold a baby panda. When we were in China in 2013 my wife did this. At that time it cost $200. The money goes toward panda conservation, so it is a good cause. The price had risen to $300, but I understand that they are no longer allowing this due to fears of some disease that humans might give to the pandas.
