I was trying to get my cat, Emma, to watch the Owl but not much luck. Nice looking owl.
It is as advertised.
“Homeschooled” Christians, makes me wonder what they tell their kids about the owls. Maybe they were rat spotters on the Ark. Ugh.
I know, that part bugs me. But the owls don’t care.
I’m thinking about getting owl boxes. The great horned owls are breeding here and I hear them hooting if I wake up in the night and sometimes I hear them in the evening when before I go to bed.
Great Horneds aren’t hole nesters, so the boxes wouldn’t attract them. Screech Owls are attracted to houses of the right size, and they are SO cute. 🙂
Yeah they are all face.
True!
Baby in sight currently!
And of course, while I was typing that she re-covered the nestling.
I keep missing it!
I know the feeling!
In a few days it will start getting easier and easier to see them. 🙂
Yes, this is amazing. Great job done by the owners of the webcam in setting up the two views. I hope they stick to Biology and Evolution.
It would be neat if I could swivel my head like Mrs. Owl.
Did anyone else hear the chugging sounds she just made (around 9:50pm EST)? Like stifled hoots or that weird sound like when I use the plunger in the toilet.
She’s exquisite.
I believe she uses that voice to commune with her babies, both hatched and unhatched. You can hear the new owlet peeping sometimes too. 🙂
Thanks… I didn’t know that!
Two babies now!
Uh, nope! That was just the first one doing a good imitation of two. Mom has left the nest so good view now.
Mom is feeding owlet some rat, now.
Charming.

this is actually quite relaxing to watch
(will this be the owl that scientifically figures out how many licks to the center of the tootsie pop???)
It’s asleep. I’ve watched for five minutes and now I’m… all… doozy

I gotta say, I though I was being Rickrolled.
I’m disappointed I wasn’t.
Owls of entertainment, nice set up.
