  4. That reminds me of an evening in Tsavo East, when I was driving back to the lodge through the late dusk. I saw some movement about a couple of hundred metres ahead on a track very like the one shown. I switched off my lights (and closed the car windows!) as four lionesses came down the track. As they passed, windows and sense permitting, we could have stroked them. Then I realised that we were surrounded by about five hundred buffaloes, and the thought of those potential lion noms taking to the track to escape decided me to drive on. I tried photographs, but it was far too dark.

  5. Wife and I have been to SA twice, Kruger and some private game parks. This is exactly what we saw and how we saw it..Very cool and a lot less expensive.

  6. The Wild Earth morning live safari is underway now. It runs from 11pm EST (GMT-5, I think) to 0200 hrs.

    The safaris will continue to run twice a day through the end of the month. The afternoon safari starts at 0900 hrs EST and the morning ones, as noted above, at 2300 EST.
