I took a peek at the search terms logged for WEIT. The internet is a strange place.

Some are what you would expect:

why cats like to be petted – It is their rightful tribute.

Some are demanding, but I am sure they found what they were after:

    1. I dread to think of the thought processes that led to someone doing a Methylene Blue Test on seen. I really hope it was the product of profound boredom, not a medical investigation.

    2. They’re standardised at IIRC 120 lb. But weight is by no means critical : the metric of value is how straight the fall of the caber is, not the range of tossing.
      Sometimes I wish I had a slightly less effective memory.

        Says it’s 175 pounds, not 120.

        I strongly suspect the entire enterprise only makes sense in conjunction with adequate quantities of antecedent beer and subsequent whisky.

  3. Funny.
    Where are these search terms logged and what do they mean? Are they terms assumed by the net to lead searchers here? If I search for something in WEIT’s search tool, is it logged there? I’m afraid I don’t know where these would come from.

    1. It’s one of the things WordPress (and possibly other blogging platforms) keeps a log of somewhere on the Admin dashboard.

      As best as I can tell, those were the search words entered that generated a link to WEIT. These ones are not anything out of the ordinary. I’ve seen far, far worse on other sites.

    2. It comes from search engines. Search engines provide tools for websites to view what search terms were used to reach their sites.

      Google’s tools (Google Analytics) provides huge amounts of information including demographic information about the people visiting your sites (in terms of percentages, it won’t tell you about individuals), how they get to your site, what part of the world they are from, and what they do on your site once they are there (what pages and how long).

      This is all standard info collected by almost every site you visit. It’s all fairly anonymous so it’s not too worrying from an individual privacy point of view, but you should assume that everything you do on the internet is logged and tracked, because it is.

      1. OK, I see. These are terms folks used for some reason and they ended up at WEIT because the engine perceived a match of some kind.

      1. Interesting. There is no mention of surface tension; as a fluid it appears to have a surface tension that is affected by water, i.e., quite hydrophobic, though the salts would mitigate that effect…very interesting.

        1. I don’t think, in situ anyway, there would be any issue with surface tension as there would not be a semen/air interface. Though results may differ. Anyway, most of the tension available would likely be channeled into other aspects of exertion.
