A lovely time-lapse video from the International Space Station, taken with cameras inside and out. The film speeds up as the video proceeds.
TRIGGER WARNING: Grandiose music.

“TRIGGER WARNING: Grandiose music.”
LOL!
The same LA musicians who did some of the filler music for the 2012 London Olympics & numerous film trailers. Gross, pompous garbage.
I thought you were being a bit harsh until the vocals started.
I liked it!
I thought it fitted the visuals well. And it was passably tuneful.
Grandiose, yes. But quite appropriate to the subject. I suppose they could have used a bit of classical music – but would it have been any better?
So are there any condos for sale up there? 🙂 (I turned the volume down.)
We love catching a glimpse of the ISS from time to time. Must.Get.Telescope.
I’d love to have a condo up there!
Of course…it would be a bit of a trek to the grocery store for a pint of cream….

I went to Vanuatu for a holiday recently, and I thought THAT was isolated!
If somebody living in Chicago would like to see the ISS go over head, there are web sites to help you. Sightings over that location will be a sparse this month, although one good night will be Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 5:23 pm. It should be plenty dark by then, and of course one will need reasonably clear skies. Look toward the south-west sky. It might not clear the horizon for you for another minute. It will be an object easily as bright as Venus, moving at about the rate of the second hand on a clock. Has a slight gold color. Should even be visible in the big city.
Since it has few good sightings this month, ISS karma dictates that next month will offer frequent possibilities of good sightings.

Yes. That – in Cinerama (?) and surround-sound – was mindblowing.
Super Panavision 70.

Watch the ISS video again with the sound down and Ligeti’s “Requiem” instead!
