Sarah Lawson is a writer, a friend of Malgorzata, Andrzej, and Hili, and an occasional commenter here. Today is her birthday, but of course it’s all about Hili—and her noms.
Hili: Will I get something tasty for Sarah’s birthday?A: Yes, of course. For such an occasion I have Gourmet Gold with Tuna for you.Hili: Oh, great. Many happy returns, Sarah.
In Polish:
Hili: Czy dostanę jakieś smaczne jedzenie na Sary urodziny?
Ja: Oczywiście, na taką okazję mam dla ciebie puszkę Gourmet Gold with Tuna.
Hili: O to świetnie. Many happy returns, Sarah.
Jerrego: Happy birthday, Sarah!

Happy Birthday Sarah!
Happy birthday! What a lazy cat.
“Lazy cat” is a redundancy.
I believe the preferred terms are, “relaxed,” or, “laid back.”

Happy birthday, Sarah!
I wonder, what Hili has to say about Jerry’s recent deification by sqrlz. Aren’t sqrlz in the nom category for cats?
Jerry – You have to stop using “Jerrego”. It is the possessive of Jerry. So Jerrego = Jerry’s. There is a polish metal band Czapka Jerrego (Jerry’s Cap). No Polish equivalent for the name Jerry so they will just use Jerry. Maybe Jeremiasz for Jeremiah. I know a couple of people whose name is Jerzy – Polish for George – who used Jerry as their English name so maybe you can go the opposite route there.
Or, maybe, it was meant to be: “Od Jerrego” (From Jerry). Happily “Many happy returns” and “Happy birthday” look like universal 😉
Obviously Hili is needing a tummy rub.
The only cats not in urgent need of a bellyrub are those currently receiving one….

Just when you think Hili pictures can’t get any cuter…
Happy Birthday Sarah!
Thanks for the good wishes, everyone! I’m sure Hili is grateful for her special tuna treat and wishes I had more birthdays, maybe one a week.
