Quincy has been bossing us around for seven years. He has to be at the computer when I am and when I finish he insists I play with him.

Does Sherlock by any chance reside in West Yorkshire? I ask because a vet friend of mine recently re-homed a cat by that name.
No, Sherlock lives in Colorado. We got him from our local cat rescue about a year ago. They had rescued him and many other cats from a terrible hoarding situation in Denver. He’s such a poser!

Not a cat owner, but I was amused by a piece in the current New Scientist:
‘Friends in a medical family in North London tell us how they were worried about their cat getting too fat. They tried cutting back on its food but the cat kept getting fatter. What could explain this? The local pet shop suggested an experiment and sold the family a brightly coloured new collar with the inscribed message:’If you are feeding thic cat please phone this number’
The number of people who phoned ran into double digits-enough to make avery fat cat indeed.’

What is it with cats and travel bags? Every time I leave a suitcase open, I end up with a cat inside it. If I remember to close it, I find a cat laying on top of it.
Yes, they love everything but the cat carrier!
