Intelligent falling

I’ll be going to talks and having interviews most of the day at TAM, so don’t expect much beyond persiflage. Alert reader Linda Grilli sent me today’s Non Sequitur strip, which is quite funny. I don’t know how Wiley Miller gets away with this stuff: the strip appears in over 700 newspapers.

Oh, and don’t forget: it’s Bastille Day!

  1. Of course, I had to look up persiflage. It sounds like it should mean something like personal camouflage. 🙂

    1. Ahhh you think it’s a portmanteau but it’s a word in itself! It’s like when you think there is an alpha privative but it’s just a word that starts with an “a”. Sneeky, sneeky language!

    1. Thanks for that. I wish my parents had been cool enough to take me that show. Would have made me the coolest 4th grader ever.

    2. Beat me to it. Very, very cool. The next year (’77) was the year my bros & I discovered Rush. 2-3 years later, we were attempting to play the stuff. Not too many folks doing Rush covers back then. 😉

    3. Comments are disabled for the video–was it posted by the Discovery Institute? 😉

  2. So grabbity isn’t static electricity from when Ceiling Cat rubbed the Earth?

    Now I’m theologically confused.

        1. And that’s what happens when K’ehleyr, Klingon Warrior Kitteh helps me type.

    1. You need some spiritual guidance from The Mighty Whiskers in the sky.

Five Hail Meows and 5 bucks in the donation jar of kitty treats.
