The world’s second chillest cat

September 13, 2012 • 4:54 am

This comes from Japan, of course, home of the world’s mellowest cat: Kagonekoshiro (“white basket cat”). This guy is a close second, and don’t ask me why he’s sitting like that! For a horrible moment I thought it was a dead cat that had been posed, but you can see it blink a few times.

Perhaps someone who reads Japanese can translate the notes on this LOLzy YouTube video:

  1. I hope they didn’t fix him/her to the bar, with it’s collar. That would be really cruel.
This looks like a very unnatural position for a cat to sit.

    1. I don’t see anything wrapped around the bar. And cats usually panic when they realize they are restrained. This cat seems calm.

    2. I have a cat that sits like that (on his butt, like a human) all the time. It’s uncommon, but some cats are cool with it.

  2. According to google translate:
“When you walk in the park, cat Towards the sunset, I doze off and dozing.
Placing a hand on the railing, you do not have to sit and look good.

Comfortably likely, you will have seen the scene in front of you? Do not you see?
I was the evening that you feel happy.”

  3. According to Google Translate, it says “When you walk in the park, cat Towards the sunset, I doze off and dozing.
Placing a hand on the railing, you do not have to sit and look good”. So that’s cleared that up, then.

  4. “A kitty who, when taking a walk in the park, faces the sunset and lazily dozes off.

Looking closely, he has his paw on the handrail and is sitting.

Looking like he’s feeling good, is he looking at the scene in front of him? Is he not?

It was an evening that left me feeling happy.”
