  1. Looks like “broken cumulus” which is usually the aftermath of a storm, not the gathering of one.

    1. Cumulus fractus would be the meteorological term you are probably referring to, but I wonder if that would be correct. These clouds have a definite base and do not seem to have been sheered from another cloud layer.

      They are ragged, I grant you that.

      Do we have any Met Observers in the house?

  2. I was there, too — alas, leaving Chitown today. Friends took me to a cantina-style Cantonese(?) restaurant specializing in Peking Duck, prepared at the table to use every part: http://sunwahbbq.com/. Bit of a mill, but v good.
