Avian miscreant breaks the rules

March 28, 2012 • 7:00 pm

From the Torygraph:

A kingfisher shows a blatant disregard for the rules as it is caught sitting on a ‘no fishing’ sign with a fish in its beak. The rebellious bird swooped down to perch on the sign with a mouth full of fish and appeared to be reading the warning. The moment was captured by photographer Dean Mason from Bournemouth, Dorset.Picture: DEAN MASON / CATERS NEWS

  1. It seems having a white collar means you get to do whatever you want.

I thought this was exclusive to tax-exempt primates.

  2. I have always liked the kingfisher. It is the only British bird that has plumage that matches some of its foreign cousins (yes yes its for other kingfishers and not for me!). Must admit the only time I have seen one has been as a brightly coloured blur as it dashes past me on a canal bank ……
