      1. Well, it looked just like the atheist penguin DPRJones showed me . . . Maybe he’s part of the penguin anonymous group . . .

  1. Here we see the beauty and grace… Um, let me start over. Here we see the beauty and grace of the… Whoops, one more time. Here we see… Damn! Forget it, just forget it!

I also love how the video is ironically captioned “Pinguin Fail”.

  2. If you click HERE You are watching a groovy live ‘web’cam at… QUOTE FROM SITE:

SeaWorld San Diego. Stay tuned for penguin feedings throughout the day, and don’t miss our live Q&A sessions every Monday from noon to 12:30 p.m. ET starting Monday, March 19.

In celebration of Frozen Planet, premiering Sunday, March 18, at 8PM e/p, Penguin Cam will be live 24 hours a day throughout March and April — plenty of time to get to know SeaWorld San Diego’s nearly 300 penguins, representing all five Antarctic species: emperors, kings, Adélies, gentoos and macaronis

    Macaronis?

  3. I do that sometimes. Go upstairs to get something, forget what it was once I get there, go back downstairs for the cue to remember what I wanted upstairs, etc.

    1. when you get in a loop like that, just search the top of your head. A lot of the time, you’re looking for your glasses, and that’s where they are. Or so I’ve heard.

  4. Fail? They seem remarkably agile, and maybe they’re even having fun. If they were cats we’d think they were playing. Is there anyone here who could shoot out of the water like that and cling to bare ice about half the time?

    1. It struck me that they were playing, too. And perhaps some King of the Mountain was going on…

      Fun!

      1. Fun until somebody gets decapitated by a leopard seal and somebody else has their intestines inhaled as if they were spaghetti by same leopard seal…

    2. They do look like they’re playing, don’t they? And I was thinking of hauling my rubber-clad posterior out of the sub-tropical North Sea with 30 kilos of lead, steel and rubber on my shoulders tomorrow. Luvverly.

  5. It looked to me like one of them was teaching the others, or maybe showing concern. Notice how the one on the ice would look over the edge when one of the others fell?

    1. Similar thoughts also crossed my mind. Perhaps parents teaching skills to children?
