If you want to see the fun part of a scientific meeting, Alex Gorbushin has posted some pictures taken at our Littorina (marine snail) meetings in St. Petersburg this week. The hijinks include our vodka-soaked dinner cruise down the Neva, and a group visit to the Peterhof, Peter the Great’s summer palace outside the city, famous for its gravity-fed fountains:

Suave, confident, thoughtful, yet keeping a low profile.
I think we all want to know what the T-shirt says.
Multi-tasking, are we!?
Looks better than anything Steve Wynn has built in the last decade.
No new delicacies? At least those fountains look well-fed!
Do you still have to wear felt booties inside the palace?
Glad to see some new faces in the ‘movement’! 🙂
