    But in fact, it is not all there. There is a lot there, but I happen to know that there are still posts written about evolution every month that don’t make it into CoE – because people don’t submit them. What to do?

  2. Actually, they’re known in the trade as “polydactyls.” I can’t tell if you’re just being coy, or really didn’t know about the prevalence of polydactyly in cats.

    Legend goes that Ernest Hemingway preferentially adopted polydactyl cats, and to this day the cat population in Key West is over-represented by polydactyls. I’ve no idea if this is true. If only there were an evolutionary biologist I could ask . . . .
