  1. I don’t know. These are normal terms in this branch of science, and all the authors appear to be non-native English speakers.

    Let’s see if you get the point of this story: AFTER a conference, the sysadmin noticed that the number of hits to the conference web pages increased dramatically.   3. On the other hand, considering that some of the authors are probably native speakers of French, if they had managed to get “black hole” into the title, then we might suspect an, errm, in-joke.

  7. Um, I didn’t react at all to that.

    But then the science is exciting! First, that stars more than 10 solar masses forms the same and have the same protoplanetary disk (so we will understand stellar formation; have more exoplanets). Second, that yet again the disk/star mass ratio is ~ 1.

    1. And a double entendre wouldn’t be “double” without the mundane half co complement the salacious half.
