Saw this on discovery very well done indeed.
I saw this and a bunch of other trailers on the web site. It was enjoyable to see again.
I can’t wait to see mudskipper vs crab.
Attenborough >> Oprah.
The original BBC V.O. is far superior. Great clip though.
No kidding. And what’s with that Disneyesque music?
“This video is not available in your country due to copyright restrictions.”
🙁
Yeah, that’s what I got, too.
Ditto.
And here in NZ, so please summarise it for us.
Summary:
2:41 in length
mudskippers look a bit like frogs/amphibians in the head region with front appendages that almost look like legs. The have 2 dorsal fins that they can raise up or flatten and their latter end looks like a fish (because they are).
They live in the mud at the shore and can dive under or skim food from the mud. The video shows males leaping in the air to get the attention of females and males fighting each other…etc.
Many thanks.
PS: and they are cute.
They also do a great of advertising Guiness!
I use a program called “youtube-dl” to download and play these videos at my leisure.
Got the same message but if you use a US based proxy you can grab it:
$ http_proxy=http://70.165.44.208:8080/ youtube-dl -l ‘http://www.youtube.com/v/zGqae7vuUWo&rel=1&fs=1&showsearch=0&showinfo=1&iv_load_policy=1’
You can also configure your web browser to use a proxy and bypass these silly copyright restrictions.
A google search on “youtube proxy” will give you everything you need to know (and more).
For compatibility with other shells you should use double quotes around the url.
For zsh that is just a syntax error.
But thanks for the proxy.
You should be using “the one true shell”.
Let the shell wars begin.
Ok. If that does not make you think: this is how it all began… You must be sleeping. So cool! Yeah, I know, not ancient ancestors, it’s a bush, and yadda yadda, but so cool: and suggestive 😉
FYI, no need to publish.
I don’t know if you mean “fish to fish” using Spanish. If you do, live fish in Spanish is pez, peces (pl); pescado (“fished”) is edible dead fish.
From the pictures, I’d say they have considerable powers of camouflage, too. The ones on the Mudskipper page and the ones I saw at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago all matched their backgrounds from almost white to almost black.
