When I heard the news this morning, I wondered if there would be a repeat of the Danish cartoon fiasco – blaming the publisher. From what little I’ve heard, it seems that there will be a substantially different reaction from the Pontiff. Obama has condemned the attack, so I gather that a similar condemnation from the U.S. State Department, unlike that of the Bush State Dept. in response to the Danish cartoons.
We need to hear some vociferous condemnation from “the (moderate) Muslim street.”
